Branch Election 2004

Following is a message from Mr. Raj Parthiban (Returning Officer) regarding the result of the second annual branch election for officer positions. If you did not receive this message in your e-mail inbox, please join the branch e-mailing list so you are kept up-to-date on future events.

Dear UniMelb IEEE Member,

I am writing to announce the results of your Student Branch's election for
Officer positions for the 2004 term. The following people have been elected
Officers for a term running from 1 January to 31 December, 2004.

Chair:      John Papandriopoulos.
Vice-Chair: Boon Loong Ng.
Secretary:  Jolyon White.
Treasurer:  Andrew Liu.

I received only one nomination for each position. An election meeting was
held on 23 December 2003 to allow members to have a last-minute opportunity
to nominate a candidate of their choice at this meeting. Since there were
no new nominations received in the meeting, I do now declare these people
elected to their respective positions by acclamation.

My heartiest congratulations to the elected Officers, and I am sure that you
will join me in wishing them the best of luck for the coming year.
