Branch Election 2003

Following is a message from Mr. Peter Wills (Chair, IEEE Victorian Section) regarding the result of the first branch election for officer positions. If you did not receive this message in your e-mail inbox, please join the branch e-mailing list so you are kept up-to-date on future events.

Dear UniMelb IEEE Member,

I am writing to announce the results of your Student Branch's first
election for Officer positions. The following people have been elected
Officers for a term running from 1 February to 31 December, 2003.

Chair: John Papandriopoulos.
Vice-Chair: Charlotte Marra.
Secretary: Jolyon White.
Treasurer: Andrew Liu.

As I received only one nomination for each position I have dispensed
with the aforementioned polling meeting, and do now declare these people
elected to their respective positions by acclamation.

My heartiest congratulations to the elected Officers, and I am sure that
you will join me in wishing them the best of luck for the coming year.

My thanks also to the outgoing executive; especially to Marija Bohocki
(Chair 2002) and Dina Laila (Vice-Chair 2002), who are scaling back
their involvement this year.
