Chair's Report

Endeavour Sponsorship

We will be sponsoring the project dinner with $250, meaning that the Branch name will be mentioned at the dinner.
The Vic Section will be sponsoring a prize worth $250, and will supply two judges for the evening. The IEEE logo will therefore appear on the poster and the exhibition guide, and the IEEE name will be mentioned during the prize ceremony.

Latex Workshop

The Latex workshop will be held on Tues, November 1st, and a practise run will be held this week.

Financial report

Not provided.

Branch Activities

Annual General Meeting
- The AGM will be held in the first week of December, on Thursday December 1st.
- A decision was made to include the polling meeting and end of year dinner with this event to maximise attendance across all events.
- MB will present the financial report (including all WIE activity costs).
- JC and NN will present a review of all activities and will acknowledge all those people who helped out.
- GC will present a report outlining the activities of the WIE affinity group.
- The combined AGM reports should span no longer than 30-40 minutes.

End of Year Dinner
- The dinner will be held at a venue to be decided, starting at 6:30pm on Thursday, December 1st.

Polling Meeting
- Will be held in conjunction with the AGM and end of year dinner on Thursday, December 1st.

Other

Formation of WIE
- The Women In Engineering has officially been recognised by the US-based WIE affinity group of the IEEE. Therefore, the WIE at the University of Melbourne is now officially an affinity group of the University of Melbourne IEEE Student Branch.
